When you receive your Virgin Indian hair we advise that you wash it and condition it as it may have lost some of of its moisture on its way to you so you want to replace that moisture to make sure it isn't too dry. Also, you washing and conditioning it allows the wave/curl pattern to be a lot more defined.

When you brush or comb the hair please start from the bottom and work your way up.

When detangling we recommend a wide tooth comb or a Denman brush.

To wash the hair when it is uninstalled, we recommend washing it in a sink. First take off the ribbon from the hair and detangle. Then run the shampoo through one section and use a wide tooth comb to allow it spread through the hair evenly. Once you feel it is evenly spread you can rinse the hair by running lukewarm water through it until the shampoo is out. Repeat this step for conditioning but use cool water as your last rinse for shine.

Once you are done conditioning you can add a little bit of light serum to keep the frizz down while the hair is drying. To dry the hair we recommend air drying and not touching the hair while it is being air dried. However, you can choose to blow-dry if you want a straight look or are in a hurry.

To wash the hair when it is installed you should part your hair in two sections down the middle and detangle, wash and condition each section following the same steps above.

Shampoos and conditioners we recommend:

  • Hello Hydration by Herbal Essences (although their other ranges can be used)

  • Pantene

  • TRESemmé

  • Recommend serum:

  • John Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Serum

  • Recommended for defining your curls:

  • John Frieda Frizz-Ease Dream Curls Curl Perfector

  • Regular conditioner diluted with water (at ratio 1:1) in a spray bottle

  • TRESemmé Curl Defining Frizz Control Mousse

  • We recommend washing and conditioning your hair extensions once a week to keep it moisturized and also to keep its shine.

We do not recommend any type of oil sheen (any product that contains petroleum) as this can give a greasy look and will weigh the hair down because of how heavy it is.

Please take care of your hair extensions like you would take care of your own hair.

Do not sleep with wet hair.

You can part your hair down the middle and put it in two big braids with a silk scarf/bonnet to sleep.

We recommend that you do not cut the wefts so you can keep reusing the hair. But if you do cut the wefts, you may experience some shedding if it is not cut right so make sure your stylist has enough experience cutting the wefts.

Follow these tips and your hair extensions will thank you!
